“Ghost Mountaineer” is a feature film with elements of horror, inspired by true events that took place in Siberia during the Soviet era. The story follows a group of Estonian students on a winter hiking expedition who unexpectedly become entangled in terrifying occurrences within a Buryatian village. Olle, the reserved leader of the group, becomes disillusioned with his companions and vanishes into the mountains on the final day of their journey. Eero, who is open-minded and adventurous, along with the other hikers, initially resist confronting the situation but soon find themselves unable to resolve it. None of them are ready for the destruction seemingly orchestrated by the missing leader, Olle. In an unfamiliar land among unfamiliar people, the group quickly learns that past deeds and revenge blur the boundary between life and death.
