A young American couple, Mark and Olivia, are eagerly anticipating the arrival of their first child. Before settling into parenthood, they decide to fulfill their dream of traveling to Europe. They arrange for private lodgings through an online platform and set off on a month-long adventure. Upon landing in Germany, they are greeted at the airport by Elisabeth, the daughter of the owner of their first rental—a quaint little house by a picturesque lake in the town where Olivia’s great-grandparents once lived.
