An 18-year-old freshman from the Midwest, excited to dive into the party scene at a large state university, soon realizes that college life isn’t the alcohol-fueled, sexual utopia he had envisioned. In his quest to win over the girl of his dreams—a stunning yet hesitant sorority member—he decides to pretend to be gay to get closer to her. This seemingly harmless ruse, however, swiftly entangles him in a web of campus activism, gender conflicts, fraternity initiations, sorority ordeals, “coming out” stories, political sacrifices, and eventually, a complete university upheaval.
