At a local Catholic school, the nuns have become aware that the priest is engaging in activities beyond leading prayers with his students. Unwilling to let malevolence persist in their midst, the Sisters decide to intervene. When they confront the priest about his immoral behavior, he responds with hostility. In retaliation for their defiance, the priest takes the Sisters captive and entombs them within the basement walls of the school. This cruel and deadly punishment deeply shakes the women’s faith, leading them to abandon their sacred vows in their final moments. They question how they could continue to believe in a higher power that would permit such suffering when they were only trying to do what was right. Many years later, the school stands abandoned and in disrepair. Chosen by the community for urban renewal, a local youth group volunteers their time to clean up the site and prepare it for redevelopment.
