In 1977, a collection of photographs documented a pivotal moment of realization, as women began to break free from the societal constraints of their upbringing and fully embrace their identities. The film “FEMINISTS: WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?” revisits these images, the women featured in them, and the era they represent, while also critiquing our current society, which still urgently requires transformation.
