Factory Complex
Watch Trailer
South Korea’s rapid economic growth once astonished the global community. Yet, this progress came at a cost, with marginalized female workers bearing the brunt of the burden. This film takes us on a journey through the lives of working-class women, starting with those in the textile industry during the 1960s, and continuing with the stories of modern-day flight attendants, cashiers, and temporary employees. As we witness the strikingly similar conditions faced by female factory workers in Cambodia, it becomes clear that while the nature of labor may evolve, the fundamental struggle for basic livelihood persists.
