HISTORY, in collaboration with Nitro Circus, has announced changes to the format of the live television event “Evel Live 2,” scheduled for Sunday, July 7, following an accident involving renowned freestyle motocross athlete Axell Hodges. During a practice attempt to break the record for the longest motorcycle jump—a record set by Robbie Maddison in 2011 at 378 feet and 9 inches—Hodges suffered severe injuries to both ankles. The revised program, airing at 9pm ET, will feature exclusive footage of Hodges’ crash and showcase four-time X Games Medalist Vicki Golden as she attempts to set a new world record with a spectacular live motorcycle firewall stunt, all in the spirit of daredevil Evel Knievel.
