Doctors Paul and Kim Jordan, a married couple, are in desperate need of a major change after the mysterious death of their infant. Paul (played by C. Thomas Howell) persuades Kim to leave their life in America behind and join a medical mission in Thailand, hoping it will provide the distraction they need. However, their plans take a dark turn when Paul is abducted by human traffickers who require a surgeon for their injured leader. Kim is left alone in an unfamiliar country, frantically searching for her husband without any evidence of his whereabouts. Meanwhile, Paul finds himself imprisoned on the gang’s remote island, sharing a cell with Malcolm Andrews (portrayed by John Rhys-Davies), a British man held for ransom.
