In 1983, the small town of Owl, North Dakota, experiences a life-altering whiteout blizzard that disrupts the lives of its inhabitants. Among them are Horace, an elderly man who enjoys reflecting on the past at the local café; Mitch, a teenage backup quarterback struggling with depression; and Julia, a newly hired high school English teacher. The storm impacts not only these individuals but also the rest of the town’s residents.
