In “Dolphin Reef,” Disneynature takes viewers on an underwater adventure to explore the lives of some of the ocean’s most captivating creatures: dolphins. The story follows Echo, a young bottlenose dolphin who is torn between embracing adulthood with its responsibilities and indulging in his playful nature. Life in the dolphin community is complex, and the well-being of the coral reef, which Echo and his family inhabit, relies on the cooperation of all its residents. However, with the allure of humpback whales, orcas, sea turtles, and cuttlefish vying for his attention, Echo finds it challenging to resist the many wonders the ocean presents.
