Brendan Cobbs, portrayed by Jon-Paul Gates, is a well-known author grappling with a severe case of writer’s block. In an effort to help him overcome this creative hurdle, his agent sends him to a secluded cottage in the English countryside, where he encounters unfriendly locals and is cut off from the outside world. There, he meets Alfred, a doll the size of a child, who inexplicably springs to life whenever Brendan isn’t looking. Seeing potential in Alfred for his next novel, Brendan soon realizes that he is entangled in a dangerous situation. Despite his efforts, he cannot escape Alfred or his ominous followers. A looming threat is closing in on Brendan, with deadly intentions.
