“Disturbing the Peace” chronicles the journey of a group of ex-combatants from opposing sides—elite Israeli soldiers and Palestinian fighters, many of whom have spent years incarcerated—who unite to defy the existing state of affairs and declare “enough.” The film follows their evolution from warriors dedicated to armed conflict to advocates of non-violent peace. It is a narrative about the human capacity for change when we choose to abandon a narrative that no longer benefits us and, driven by our beliefs, strive to forge a new reality.
