“DIE EXPATS” delves into themes of love, loss, desire, identity, and contemporary relationships. The narrative follows four individuals striving to rediscover themselves while maneuvering through the complex, intertwined environment they inhabit. As this environment starts to close in on them, they come to understand that the only escape is through introspection and the willingness to release their past and each other. There’s a common belief that people come to Berlin to discover what they desire; however, for this group, the city becomes a source of disillusionment. In the process of identifying what they don’t want, Vivian, Nate, Sienna, and Andreas may finally reveal what they genuinely need.
