In New York City, a mobster named Tony Thick is anticipating a $5 million cash delivery from Lenny Long, who is based in Los Angeles. However, Lenny’s sudden disappearance raises questions about whether he has met with foul play or absconded with the money. To resolve the mystery, Thick dispatches his trusted associate, Shady, to Los Angeles to track down the missing funds. During his investigation, Shady encounters a colorful cast of characters, including Lenny’s wife Sally, who is eager to have a baby, his scatterbrained mistress Eve, his brawny brother Louis, his eccentric neurosurgeon Dr. Hooker, and a host of other oddballs. Although none of them know Lenny’s whereabouts or fate, they all claim he promised them a portion of the money. With Lenny found in a San Fernando hospital, slipping in and out of consciousness, Shady must unravel the mystery of the missing cash.
