Set in the 1980s, this film follows the true story of Ron Woodroof, a Texas electrician and rodeo cowboy who is diagnosed with AIDS and given 30 days to live. Faced with a lack of effective government-approved treatments, he begins smuggling unapproved drugs into the U.S. to help himself and others suffering from the disease.
