Tanner Gray is taken aback to discover, following the passing of his former wife Andrea, that he has a 25-year-old daughter named Cyd. Tanner and Andrea had crossed paths over 25 years ago while working as dance instructors on a cruise. They fell in love and got married, but their paths diverged when Andrea wished to settle in her hometown to manage her parents’ dance studio, whereas Tanner, hailing from a small town himself, wanted to explore the world before settling down. He left to pursue his dreams, and by the time he was ready to return, Andrea told him not to bother, leading to years of silence between them. Now, Cyd faces pressure to sell the dance studio to a property developer, but Andrea had always kept Tanner’s name on the deed, requiring his consent for any sale. Although Tanner is focused on what is best for Cyd, as he spends more time with her, he begins to believe that selling the studio might not be the right decision.
