Marian, a nurse in her middle years, dedicates herself to her patients with saint-like devotion. Occasionally, she assumes the role of a savior, guiding the terminally ill towards the peacefulness of eternal rest. Her life takes a turn when she becomes involved with a neighbor through a shared act of voyeurism, sparking a deep interest in him. Confronted with the vulnerability of these new feelings, Marian gives in to her human desires.
