An L.A. police officer is summoned to a crime scene on his anniversary, where he becomes embroiled in a gunfight that results in the deaths of both a criminal and a hostage. Shortly thereafter, the officer, burdened yet resolute, takes his family on a camping trip. However, their journey takes a dark turn when they find themselves caught in a robbery at a gas station.
