Italian Stefano lands on Dolphin Island near the Georgia coast and secures a position as a handyman at a local motel. There, he begins a romantic relationship with a young woman who is dealing with emotional issues. She works as both a maid and laundress at the motel and also performs as a stripper in a nearby small coastal town.
