In a struggling neighborhood in Chicago, Illinois, Marcus Julian, a former convict, comes back after spending eight years behind bars. Emerging from a broken family background, Marcus, much like many in his area, operated under a brutal “street-code.” The “Gangster Disciples” controlled the local areas, and as a once-prominent member, he is haunted by the criminal activities that resulted in his imprisonment.
