An American tour guide with a strong sense of independence finds herself unemployed in Rome right before the holiday season. She encounters Oliver, an American businessman eager to acquire a prestigious Italian ceramics firm. To secure the deal, Oliver needs to understand the essence of Rome, so he enlists Angela as his guide through the historic city.
