When successful entrepreneur Sam Treadwell discovers that his android spouse, the Cherry model 2000, has malfunctioned, he enlists the help of the alluring and rebellious tracker, E. Johnson, to locate an identical replacement. However, as their quest to find his ideal partner takes them into the perilous and anarchic territory known as ‘The Zone,’ Treadwell comes to realize that the ideal woman cannot be constructed from circuits and electronics.
