At each crime scene, authorities discovered a drawing of a house, which turned out to be the site of the subsequent murder. However, detectives were unable to identify these houses in time, and the killings persisted, growing increasingly brutal until someone recognized the latest drawing as the old Wilson farm in Monroe. As the story begins, a police officer named Crawley is being questioned by an unseen superior. She attempts to recall the events that transpired at the Wilson farm. She recounts that she was patrolling nearby and rushed to the location, aiming to learn what the owner knew and to evacuate him. But then… what unfolded was… if only she could remember…
