Raymond is a lazy, envious recluse, while Angèle is an alluring yet naive television celebrity. On one Halloween night, their mother, Solange, unexpectedly passes away. After a decade of silence, Raymond reaches out to his sister. She agrees to meet him and starts looking into their mother’s death, drawing inspiration from her TV role as a detective. However, the Marchildon family is anything but straightforward. With Raymond’s indecisiveness, Solange’s spirit lingering around her children, Angèle’s increasingly erratic behavior as she questions a series of peculiar suspects, and the growing number of bodies in the basement, maintaining any semblance of love is a challenge. Then again, love has always been a bit unconventional in the Marchildon family.
