Kaori, portrayed by Riko Narumi, is a dedicated kendo practitioner who has been honing her skills since childhood. In contrast, Sanae, played by Kie Kitano, is a more casual participant in the sport. Despite her lack of serious commitment, Sanae unexpectedly defeats Kaori in the junior high school championship. While this victory doesn’t mean much to Sanae, it leaves Kaori with a lingering resentment, sparking a rivalry that continues into their high school years.
