During a holiday trip in the Wisconsin countryside, a group of five friends takes shelter in an isolated structure after their car is wrecked in a fierce snowstorm. Lacking cell phone reception, they decide to separate in search of assistance. However, upon regrouping, they discover that one of their own has been killed.
