In a clandestine research facility, experts are tasked with probing a series of mysterious deaths occurring on beaches along the Atlantic coastline. Among them, a scientist played by Nana Gouvea scrutinizes video footage to explore a potential parasitic cause behind the fatalities. However, when a persistent detective, portrayed by Tom Sizemore, provides her with the deranged writings of an enigmatic homeless man, played by Jonny Beauchamp, she gradually realizes that the real menace might be far more perilous—and ancient—than anyone had anticipated. Will she be able to persuade her team, led by Eric Roberts, of the looming threat before an age-old force emerges from the ocean to unleash chaos and destruction upon humanity?
