Frederick recounts the tale of two “clients” linked by a mysterious secret. The narrative begins with the influential mobster Jimmie Levinson, who accuses his ex-associate Paul Pattuchi of pilfering a shipment of cocaine and orders the murder of Paul’s cherished girlfriend, Clarice.
