Chris Sanders and Quincy are both participants in a video game competition for “Black Hole,” aiming to win the $175,500 prize. Quincy attempts to undermine Chris, but his plan backfires when Chris’ mother, Tracy, mistakenly believes Quincy is her online date. During their first meeting, Quincy deceives Tracy by claiming he is a Home Economics teacher at Chris’ school. Just before the tournament, Chris uncovers Quincy’s lies. Determined to get back at him, she plans to defeat him in the competition. However, Quincy withdraws from the tournament to prove his genuine remorse. Tracy forgives him, and they attend Chris’ prom together. Meanwhile, Chris chooses to go with her romantic interest, Ash.
