Barabbas, also known as Jesus Barabbas, which translates to “son of the father” or “Jesus, son of the father,” is a character in the story of Christ’s Passion. He is the rebel whom Pontius Pilate released during the Passover celebration in Jerusalem, choosing him over Jesus Christ.
