In Los Angeles, a young woman’s day spirals downward: she’s kicked out of her home, a casting call ends disastrously when she refuses to exchange sexual favors for a role, and she’s wrongfully accused by a police officer who demands oral sex in exchange for her freedom. Reaching her breaking point, she seizes the officer’s gun, dons his uniform, and leaves him handcuffed to a tree, where he soon finds himself in a vulnerable conversation with a homeless man. She speeds away on his motorcycle, briefly living the life of a cop. During this time, she dissuades a young man from committing suicide but soon finds herself embroiled in violence following a seemingly friendly interaction with two “vatos.” She is caught in a struggle between self-preservation and societal expectations. Will she find any resolution to her emotional turmoil?
