Moritaka Mashiro, portrayed by Takeru Satoh, is hesitant to pursue a career as a manga artist, fearing the same fate as his uncle, who succumbed to exhaustion from the profession. Instead, Moritaka envisions a future where he finishes school and secures a stable office job. However, his plans take a turn when he falls for a schoolmate with aspirations of becoming a voice actress. She proposes that they can marry, but only once they have both fulfilled their ambitions. Motivated by this promise, Moritaka collaborates with his classmate Akito Takagi, played by Ryunosuke Kamiki, to create and publish their debut manga.
