Neil, a grouchy home-security specialist, finds himself at odds with his neighbor Scott, who stubbornly keeps his Christmas lights on throughout the year. Their ongoing squabble escalates until Neil inadvertently causes a power outage across the whole street on Christmas Eve. However, when a local crime syndicate plans to burglarize every house on the block that night, Neil and Scott must put their disagreements aside and join forces to thwart the criminals.
