Jean-Pierre, a contract killer based in Paris, is looking to leave his violent profession behind. His motivation is rekindling a relationship with Michelle, a friend from his youth. He’s prepared to dedicate himself to her, but she harbors her own secrets: she deals in bomb parts with criminals. When Jean-Pierre hears whispers about a missing briefcase, he discovers it in Michelle’s apartment. Without probing further, they both find themselves entangled with Jean-Pierre’s former boss and Michelle’s dangerous clients. Adding to the complexity are two more individuals: Jean-Pierre’s closest friend, who habitually loses money betting on horse races, and the former boss’s new assassin, a seemingly delicate woman.
