“Passive Aggressive” is a phrase from one of my routines, and it encapsulates my approach to challenging societal expectations that I feel compelled to follow. We don’t fit the mold that was prescribed to us, and that’s perfectly fine. The narratives we were given were misleading. We have the freedom to pursue what brings us joy, regardless of any judgment from others. In fact, we can be just as critical of them. Seriously? You’re 24 and already married with two kids? That’s a lot to handle.
