On a sweltering afternoon in southern France, the lives of several individuals are on a collision course with disaster. Among them are Stéphane and Luigi, two cousins on the brink of adulthood; Georges, an elderly man enjoying his retirement; Amélie, who is Luigi’s girlfriend; and Anne, Amélie’s mother. Unbeknownst to them, their lives, marked by fear, shame, and exhaustion, are about to become entangled, leading them toward a devastating fate.
