Aiman, a 28-year-old Malay correctional officer, has recently been reassigned to the region’s most prominent prison. He resides with his elder sister, Suhaila, in a simple housing complex. At his new job, Aiman becomes intrigued by a 65-year-old sergeant named Rahim. It soon becomes apparent that Rahim, with his magnetic personality, is the prison’s long-standing chief executioner. Rahim, in turn, notices Aiman’s integrity and hard work. When Rahim’s assistant unexpectedly resigns, he offers Aiman the opportunity to be his trainee. Aiman shares this development with Suhaila, who reacts with distress, as Rahim was the one who executed their father—a fact Aiman has always been aware of. Will Aiman be able to reconcile his moral dilemmas and troubled history to potentially succeed Rahim as the chief executioner?
