Melvin, an unlikely and hesitant hero, has long buried his telekinetic abilities under a lifestyle of alcohol, drugs, and fleeting relationships. This self-destructive path has led to numerous failures, particularly in his role as a father to his son. However, a near-death experience prompts Melvin to turn over a new leaf and harness his powers for the greater good, aiming to rid the streets of New Orleans of crime. He embarks on this mission with the support of his best friend, Lucille, who is anything but a mere sidekick.
