Fed up with her family’s incessant pressure to settle down, the pampered heiress Yeh Fenfen (played by Shu Qi) decides to escape to a picturesque villa on the Penghu Islands. This location holds sentimental value, as it is celebrated in a classic song recorded on a tape her mother left her. Upon arrival, Fenfen is disappointed to discover that the stunning villa is, in reality, a dilapidated bed and breakfast run by Wu (portrayed by Richie Jen). Wu’s friends, eager to attract more guests, had embellished the property’s condition online. Outraged by the misleading information, Fenfen decides to leave the following day. However, after losing all her belongings during the boat trip, she finds herself with no option but to return to the island.
