After enduring years of intense depression, Mark has resolved that today will be the day he puts an end to his suffering. He finds no solace in any moral or spiritual beliefs that could persuade him that suicide isn’t the most sensible option. Guided by this stark reasoning, he chooses to isolate himself from others and take his own life. However, despite his efforts, life persistently obstructs his plans.
