Set in San Diego, the film centers on Bill Templer, the leader of a secretive defense organization, who orchestrates a frightening deception on the American populace. He does this by releasing a satellite image to the media, depicting an alien fleet ready to attack Earth. As fear of an extraterrestrial assault grows, the U.S. President commands the deployment of Peacemaker, a surveillance satellite equipped with a nuclear missile. Templer’s intricate scheme faces jeopardy when police detective Kevin Anjanette uncovers that the alien images are fabricated. To safeguard his plan, Templer quickly sends his deadly security chief, Ava Zurich, after Anjanette. However, it is soon discovered that a real alien force is indeed prepared to attack if Peacemaker is activated. To save humanity from complete destruction, Anjanette must urgently work to stop the nuclear launch that would provoke the alien offensive.
