Unlike the typical silent circus acts that Cirque du Soleil is famous for, “Alegria” tells the story of a young boy trapped in slavery. Over time, he discovers that to gain freedom for himself and the other children, he must conquer a fire-breathing dragon or face an equally challenging but more introspective inner struggle.
