A group of scientists is working on an innovative technology that transforms human thoughts into visual images. Although still in the early stages, this technology can only convert thoughts into basic images and shapes. Two interns, Matthew Andrews and Sarah Austin, get the opportunity to experiment with this technology while they are studying for their neurosurgery degrees. They attend a university alongside other students, including Anne Plaven. Dr. Marlen, a brain surgeon, exposes the students to real-world scenarios as a series of mysterious deaths occur throughout the city. When Andrews and Austin test the technology at their company, Austin experiences vivid mental flashes of events connected to the city’s murders. These visions lead to startling and perilous revelations, putting the students’ lives at risk during the experiment.
