Jack Gracy, once a security guard at the American Embassy in Russia, unexpectedly arrives at a gathering at the embassy in the ex-Soviet state of Bazrhikistan, where his distant girlfriend is employed. While they are conversing on the upper floor, a band of terrorists, posing as catering staff, invades the event and seizes all the attendees on the lower level as hostages. The terrorists are menacingly demanding that their conditions be fulfilled, threatening to fire nuclear missiles at the United States. However, they did not anticipate Jack’s presence to thwart their plans.
