In a heart transplant center, a man and a woman, played by Peter Dobson and Samantha Mathis, find themselves falling for each other. They both feel a strong connection to a young girl, portrayed by Mary Matilyn Mouser, who is revealed to be the orphaned child of the individuals who donated their hearts.
