Motivated by her partner, Danielle murders her spouse and flees with her baby daughter, Cali. However, the authorities apprehend her, and while being transported to prison, she consents to transfer custody of Cali to her nemesis, her sister Nikki. Once released from incarceration, Danielle is determined to reclaim Cali from the secure and nurturing environment provided by Nikki.
