“A Man Called Jon” is a whimsical dramedy that follows Pastor Jon Terrell Carson, whose unique approach to worship stands out. His current church is quite traditional and not used to such expressive displays during services. After an incident that embarrasses both the church and his family, Senior Pastor Stannum contacts the Bishop to have Jon transferred to a congregation that better aligns with his energetic style. Jon and his family end up at an African American Church, where Associate Pastor Dickens informs him that a clerical error led to his placement there. Jon is then relocated to a third church, where he struggles to blend in. Will Jon manage to rein in his exuberant worship, or will he face yet another reassignment?
