Jacob, weary of the constraints imposed by his father on the family farm, decides to break free by asking for his inheritance ahead of time. To his surprise, his father agrees, and Jacob sets off for the city to live life on his own terms. Initially, he thrives, taking bold business gambles that transform his modest inheritance into a substantial fortune. His extravagant lifestyle, however, draws the wrong crowd, including the alluring Laura, whose wealthy boyfriend Frank poses a constant threat. Jacob enjoys wealth, women, and status, but his success is short-lived. He loses everything, and just when he believes he’s hit rock bottom, his situation worsens, leaving him scavenging for food and living in a pigsty. Realizing his mistakes, he decides to return home, ready to start anew in a humble position on the farm. His father, however, greets him with unexpected enthusiasm—but is it a warm welcome or something else entirely?
