The film centers on Blake Freeman, a director and actor, who embarks on an adventure with Leroy, a 69-year-old man who is both morally and financially depleted. Leroy has exhausted his life savings trying to shield himself from aliens and ghosts by relying on psychics. Upon learning about Leroy’s situation, Blake decides to take him on a comedic cross-country trip to “reveal the truth” about the paranormal. From extraterrestrials to voodoo curses, Blake confronts them all, playing pranks on the “so-called” experts in an effort to show Leroy that he has been exploited.
