A former cowboy and war veteran, who struggles with mild PTSD and social interaction difficulties, encounters a hitchhiking singer-songwriter who is grappling with issues of trust and past abuse. He looks after her and introduces her to a more straightforward way of living, which gradually reveals their personal struggles. As they spend time together, they discover shared experiences that lead to the development of a relationship.
